About the Role
Radiant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the analysis tooling and data infrastructure that accelerates how our engineering teams design and validate the Kaleidos reactor. This role involves working directly with reactor physics, materials, and systems engineering teams to understand their workflows and build tools that eliminate bottlenecks.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with reactor design, materials, and systems engineering teams to identify automation and tooling opportunities
- →Build and maintain data pipelines connecting analysis codes to Radiant's materials database
- →Standardize data input and output formats across analysis tools
- →Develop post-processing and visualization tooling for engineers
- →Own the integration between Attila and the materials database
- →Build automation to eliminate repetitive manual tasks
- →Design and maintain APIs for engineers to query analysis results
- →Establish data quality checks and validation frameworks
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in computer science, physics, engineering, or related field
- ✓5+ years of software engineering experience with tooling or data pipelines
- ✓Expert proficiency in Python; familiarity with Rust, Golang, C++, or C#
- ✓Experience building data pipelines between scientific/engineering tools
- ✓Ability to work with non-software engineers to deliver practical tooling
- ✓Familiarity with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices
- ✓Strong instinct for identifying solutions that improve engineering velocity
