About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead high-performing telematics technology teams and influence our connected camera and fleet tracking products. This critical leadership role involves engineering strategy, platform health, DevOps maturity, and people leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead multiple technical teams, taking accountability for team effectiveness and well-being
- →Support assessment, definition, and rollout of development practices aligned with industry best practices
- →Ensure platform health by identifying and addressing technical debt
- →Monitor and manage key performance indicators to ensure team delivery excellence
- →Lead the DevOps strategy for telematics and implement infrastructure automation
- →Contribute to the vision and strategy for the telematics division
- →Ensure development teams deliver to customer needs aligned with the roadmap
- →Implement and maintain financial governance measures
- →Define, improve, and evolve the architecture of group systems
- →Assist in recruiting and retaining talent
- →Engage with suppliers and vendors to enhance product offerings
- →Measure and manage capacity to deliver maximum value for customers
Requirements
- ✓Proven track record in building and leading innovative engineering teams
- ✓Experience managing large development teams using agile methodologies
- ✓Experience managing distributed organizations and working with multiple cultures
- ✓Experience managing 3rd party suppliers, including offshore
- ✓Degree in a technical field, ideally computer science or software engineering
- ✓Solid technical background with experience in Java, Typescript, NodeJS, or modern web UI frameworks
- ✓Significant experience building and managing SaaS platforms on containerized cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- ✓Experience with cybersecurity and data privacy
- ✓Strong architectural awareness with experience in large-scale refactoring
- ✓Deep understanding of best practices for delivering quality products
