About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the strategic growth of our B2B insurance portfolio. This role involves developing and executing targeted business development strategies to acquire and grow corporate and enterprise-level clients.

Key Responsibilities

→Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to acquire larger B2B insurance clients
→Identify and nurture new business opportunities, including cross-sell/up-sell across business units
→Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
→Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored insurance solutions
→Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies
→Team Leadership & Development
→Build and lead a high-performing B2B/Enterprise/Corporate team
→Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team and monitor progress
→Mentor team members to achieve individual and team targets
→Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team
→Training & Onboarding
→Support the development and delivery of training programs for new team members
→Ensure consistent onboarding processes and early productivity among new hires
→Act as a subject matter expert, providing coaching and support
→Possible involvement as a mentor or supervisor of Insurance Apprentices.

Requirements

✓CIP qualification preferred or working towards this; APA at a minimum
✓Broad General Insurance product knowledge including fleet, property & liabilities
✓Proven B2B Business Development Expertise with corporate/enterprise clients
✓Strategic Thinking: Ability to design and execute a clear business development strategy
✓Relationship-Building Skills: Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers
✓Leadership Ability: Experience building, managing, and motivating high-performing teams
