About the Role
We are looking for an Ops Engineer to join our growing team at Ramp. This role involves building internal tooling and infrastructure that empowers operators at Ramp. You'll work directly with operations teams to design, implement, and scale tools and systems that enable them to serve customers more efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign and build full-stack internal applications and tools that empower operations teams
- βDevelop robust backend services and APIs that power internal tooling
- βBuild integrations with third-party platforms like Retool and Zendesk
- βLeverage AI tooling to build intelligent automation and enhance operator productivity
- βCreate data-driven features and analytics for operations teams
- βCollaborate with operations stakeholders to solve real business problems
- βWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- βParticipate in code reviews and mentor team members
- βOwn features end-to-end from design through deployment
- βParticipate in an On Call rotation to resolve critical issues
Requirements
- β5+ years of software engineering experience building production applications
- βStrong proficiency in modern programming languages like Python, TypeScript/Node.js
- βExperience building full-stack applications with frameworks like React or Next.js
- βSolid understanding of backend architecture, API design, and database systems
- βAptitude for working with AI technologies and integrating LLMs
- βExperience building internal tools or working with non-technical stakeholders
- βStrong product sense and user empathy
- βFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and DevOps practices
- βExcellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- βStrong sense of ownership and bias toward action
- βExperience with platforms like Retool or Zendesk is a plus
