🚀 Now Hiring: Senior Java AWS Full-Stack Engineer 📍 Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid – DC / Wilmington) Build Cloud-Native Systems That Matter Randstad is seeking a Senior Java AWS Full-Stack Engineer to join a high-impact Agile engineering team supporting a premier client in the Washington, D.C. / Wilmington area. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of enterprise Java, modern AWS cloud architecture, and full-stack development. You’ll play a critical role in modernizing legacy systems, building scalable cloud-native applications, and driving automation across the SDLC—all within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment. What You’ll Do Architect & Build: Design, develop, and modernize backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native patterns AWS Engineering: Build and support solutions using AWS Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Aurora, and Redshift Automation & CI/CD: Implement robust pipelines using GitHub/GitLab, SonarQube, and automated testing Full-Stack Collaboration: Partner with frontend teams to integrate JavaScript frameworks with REST/SOAP APIs Quality First: Lead TDD/BDD practices with strong unit and integration testing using JUnit Agile Leadership: Actively participate in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning and in-person collaboration in DC/Wilmington What We’re Looking For Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and J2EE (Servlets, JMS, JDBC) Hands-on experience building AWS cloud-native and serverless applications Strong background in Oracle/SQL, MQ, REST/SOAP web services Proficiency with JSON, XML, XSLT data formats Solid understanding of security concepts (HTTPS, JAAS, RBAC, encryption) Experience with JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS in a full-stack environment DevOps mindset with Git-based version control and automated quality gates Ability to work hybrid, with onsite participation in DC or Wilmington as needed ✨ Why This Role Work on mission-critical, cloud-native platforms Influence architecture and modernization at scale Collaborate with experienced engineers in a SAFe environment High visibility and long-term impact
