Recorded Future is seeking a skilled and motivated Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Kubernetes, developer toolsets, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. This role requires a strong understanding of modern Platform Engineering tools and practices, as well as a commitment to fostering a responsive, communicative, and collaborative environment. This is a role and team that enables Engineering to operate and build at the scale and pace of the ever changing Security Threat Landscape.
You will be curious, collaborative and build with existing tools and work with the team to identify new approaches, technologies, (including AI related capabilities) to allow your team and others to increase velocity and impact.
This role requires you to work in Recorded Future's Boston office at least 3 days per week.
What You'll Do:
β’ Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
β’ Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
β’ Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications using Kubernetes.
β’ Support the development and management of production Kubernetes clusters in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
β’ Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS to support scalable and secure applications.
β’ Administer and optimize source code repositories and workflows in GitHub.
β’ Collaborate with development teams to enhance developer toolsets and streamline SDLC processes.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
β’ Implement best practices for security, reliability, and performance.
β’ Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
What You'll Bring:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
β’ 3+ years of experience in a platform engineering or similar role.
β’ Proficiency in Golang or Python for scripting and automation.
β’ Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
β’ Proven knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and experience with ArgoCD.
β’ Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
β’ Proven experience with AWS cloud services.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
β’ Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
β’ Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
β’ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
β’ Good networking knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with Github runners and other CI/CD tools and platforms.
β’ Familiarity with programming languages such as Go, Python or Java in the context of CICD.
β’ Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
β’ Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, ELK and Grafana stacks.
β’ Certification in AWS or Kubernetes and experience with Backstage is a plus.
β’ Experience with kOps is a plus.
β’ Knowledge of Cilium CNI is a plus
The base salary range for this full-time position is $92,500-$139,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary displayed reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by state, work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K.
