The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us. About the Team: The Quality team supports all areas of production of Relativity’s hardware and defines the processes to do so. We work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, test and launch counterparts to ensure the quality of our products. We help lay the foundation for all processes within the product lifecycle – design, buy, build, test and launch. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing Quality organization and help lead the front on producing the industry’s highest quality 3D-printed parts and launch vehicle. This is a 2nd shift position with a standard schedule of 3:00PM-1:30AM PT, Monday through Friday, with a 10% differential on top of the base rate. Please note that this position is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50-hour workweek, which may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals. About the Role: Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of flight hardware using variety of metrology tools (Micrometers, Bore gauges, Romer arm, CMM, etc.) Provide detailed in-process and final inspections of production hardware using CAD model, drawings, process specifications, and/or work order requirements Provide detailed feedback to Machine Shop to help improve quality of the hardware Thoroughly review all hardware requirements and determine pass/fail status, documenting outcomes and any non-conformances or deviations found Provide feedback to Engineering, Additive, and other departments to help resolve quality related issues. About You: • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Quality Inspector • Excellent knowledge of GD&T • Ability to review drawings and identify improper callouts/datum structures, according to ASME Y14.5 • Experience with metrology hand inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gages, thread gages, optical comparator, etc.) • CMM/PCMM experience using Verisurf or similar software • Proficient at documenting inspection outcomes via detailed reports (AS9102, NCR’s, etc.) • Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar QMS • Excellent communication and teamwork skills – ability to effectively communicate with engineering, shop floor techs and/or other inspection personnel Nice to haves but not required: • CMM Programming Renishaw REVO and/or PH20 • Knowledge of Aerospace hardware specifications, coating/processes, assemblies, etc. • Experience at an Aerospace or automotive start-up Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • Experience with NX, Teamcenter, Jira, Infor LN • Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar QMS Basic CNC skills Benefits: • 100% health care coverage on your first day • Quarterly wellness stipend to use on health and wellness • Partnership with Modern Health with access to 8 therapy & coaching sessions and mental health resources • Discounts on gym memberships, travel and entertainment through PerkSpot • Unlimited onsite snacks • Free lunch on Mondays and Fridays • Annual learning and development stipend • PPE Stipend • Pet Insurance through Fetch • Company Paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability • Up to 12 weeks salary continuation for paid pregnancy disability leave • 8 Weeks company paid parental leave • Access to One Medical At Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
