About the Role
We are looking for a CNC Programmer to join our Engine Manufacturing department at Relativity Space. This role involves developing programs, post G-code, and machining a variety of 3D-printed engine parts. You will optimize first article programs into production programs and collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop new machining processes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Program and operate multi-axis machines (2-axis, 3-axis, 5-axis, mill/turn)
- →Optimize programs and post code using Esprit, Mastercam, or similar CAM software
- →Run lights-out production
- →Develop manufacturing plans, tooling, and fixtures
- →Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop new machining processes
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of CNC programming experience
- ✓Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up
- ✓Ability to program and operate multi-axis high-precision machines
- ✓Ability to manually edit G-code paths/settings to optimize production programs
- ✓Experience creating detailed set up instructions
- ✓Experience transitioning parts from first article to production
