Resonate is a leading provider of high-quality, AI-powered consumer data, intelligence, and technology, empowering marketers to create a more personalized world that increases customer acquisition and lifetime value. Our SaaS platform, Ignite, and our Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) offerings provide unparalleled insights into consumer motivations, values, and behaviors, enabling our clients to connect with their target audiences in more meaningful and effective ways. We are a dynamic and fast-growing company seeking passionate and innovative individuals to join our team!
The best campaigns - whether theyβre moving voters, driving advocacy, or building brands - run on intelligence. At Resonate, we give political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and the agencies that serve them something most data companies canβt: a real understanding of why people think and behave the way they do - not just who they are on paper.
Weβre looking for a Pre-Sales Specialist to join our Political, Advocacy & Agency team. This is a client-facing role that spans three distinct client types - political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and media agencies - each with their own goals, timelines, and ways of working. Fast-moving by nature, and genuinely varied.
What you'll be doing
Youβll be the engine behind our pre-sales process across political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and agencies - working closely with the sales team to turn client needs into compelling, data-backed solutions. That means getting into the details: designing audiences, building proposals, structuring budgets, and making sure every campaign we pitch is ready to run.
In this role, you can expect to:
β’ Partner with sales on the full pre-sales cycle - from discovery calls and briefings through to final presentations with senior stakeholders at campaigns, advocacy groups, and agencies
β’ Draft Managed Media and data proposals, including audience design, budget tables, insertion orders, and supporting campaign documentation
β’ Deliver product demos and technical presentations that bring Resonate's data depth and capabilities to life for clients
β’ Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable strategies that drive measurable outcomes for clients
β’ Collaborate with Product and Research teams to feed client insights back into the roadmap
β’ Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing - case studies, POVs, best practices, and thought leadership
The environment
Weβre a growth-stage company, which means thereβs real scale and sophistication here, but also plenty of room to shape how things get built. The work shifts throughout the year: political season brings intensity and pace, while agency work provides a steady, ongoing rhythm of client relationships and campaign planning. If you like variety and want to build expertise across more than one client type, this role has that built in.
This role sits within a small, collaborative pre-sales team. You'll work across sales, product, and research regularly - and you'll be a genuine subject matter expert for the political and advocacy vertical, not just a support function.
What we're looking for
You don't need to have done this exact job before - but you do need to have the foundations. Here's what matters most:
The non-negotiables
β’ 1-3 years of experience in media planning, campaign management, or pre-sales
β’ Strong analytical skills - you can take a complex dataset and turn it into a clear story
β’ Excellent communication, written and verbal - you're confident presenting to senior audiences
β’ Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without things slipping
β’ A genuine interest in the political, advocacy, or agency media space - this isnβt something you can fake in client conversations
β’ We care about what you can do more than where you studied. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience works for us.
Strong signals we'd love to see
β’ Experience in programmatic, AdTech, SaaS, or a data-driven media environment
β’ Familiarity with DMPs, DSPs, or audience-based buying
β’ Prior experience at a media agency or working on political or advocacy campaigns
β’ Comfort working in environments that aren't fully defined yet - you build the process as much as you follow it
Why Resonate
β’ Youβll work across clients where the stakes are real - elections, ballot initiatives, advocacy movements, and agency campaigns that reach millions of people
β’ Our data goes deeper than demographics. We understand the values, beliefs, and motivations behind voter and consumer behavior - and that's what you'll be selling
β’ Growth-stage means your work is visible. You're not a cog - you're someone who can genuinely shape how this team operates
β’ A collaborative team that wins together and shares the credit
