About the Role
We are looking for an Embedded Release Engineer to join ALSO, an electric mobility company focused on creating innovative, vertically integrated small EVs. You will be part of the Embedded firmware team working on early-stage development of next-generation products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and maintain systems using tools like GitLab CI/CD and custom scripts for embedded firmware development
- →Own the release pipeline as the first Release Engineer, driving system maintenance and designing solutions
- →Build, scale, automate, and secure software development infrastructure including CI, build pipelines, and verification automation
- →Identify repetitive tasks and automate them to accelerate daily development
- →Ensure high reliability, redundancy, fault tolerance, and security in pipelines and tooling
- →Advise on release and testing processes, embedding them into team standards and automation
- →Identify and adopt tools and practices that improve efficiency in build–release workflows
Requirements
- ✓B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- ✓5+ years of experience in release engineering, build systems, or developer tooling
- ✓5+ years of experience programming in Python or similar
- ✓Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, container registry, and project configuration
- ✓Experience with build and release automation for hardware products running C/C++ and lightweight RTOSes
- ✓Experience with embedded build toolchains (GCC, cross-compilation, flashing/debugging workflows)
