About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Creator Success Team at Roblox. This role involves building critical backend systems that support creators of games and experiences within the Roblox ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build ML-driven services and large scale data pipeline to drive player insights and optimize monetization opportunities for creators
- →Build next generation communication platform providing creators with powerful tools to manage the player community, organize virtual events, and collect player feedback
- →Build a state-of-the-art remote configuration/experiment platform to enable the continued growth of games with the world's largest concurrent user(CCU)
- →Lead technical decision-making and guide the development team
- →Lead engineering and development for our services and systems at a massive scale
- →Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-team leaders to push the boundary of what is possible
- →Self-organize and take ownership of projects throughout their full lifecycle
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of industry experience as a software engineer
- ✓Deep familiarity with distributed systems concepts like stream processing, data pipeline, queue, RPC, retry strategies
- ✓3+ years of experience in C#, Java, Go, or other object-oriented programming languages
- ✓Experience working with complex networked codebases
- ✓Ability to work across multiple platforms including Windows, OS X, Linux, Android, and iOS
- ✓Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, operations, and automated testing
- ✓Teamwork and collaboration skills
