About the Role

We are looking for a Senior 3D Artist to join our team at Roblox. This role focuses on building creative lighthouse examples and future platform capabilities that spark new forms of play, participation, and expression.

Key Responsibilities

→Craft immersive environments and layouts directly in Roblox Studio
→Develop lighting direction to establish mood, readability, and emotional tone
→Support character and in-world object development
→Execute rapid prototyping in fast iteration cycles
→Drive cross-functional partnership with strategy, creative leads, engineering, and design
→Accelerate partner production by providing hands-on guidance
→Contribute to platform evolution by exploring new platform primitive types

Requirements

✓6–10+ years of experience in game development, interactive media, or immersive environments
✓Artistic mastery in 3D environment art, lighting, materials, and world composition
✓Substantial experience across 3D art types including characters, vehicles, and props
✓Real-time fluency and understanding of proprietary engine rendering constraints
✓High-speed proficiency in environment modeling and texturing tools
✓Broader technical knowledge of the world-building stack
✓A collaborative R&D mindset
