We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in computer graphics to lead the design and delivery of large-scale, production systems at Roblox. This high-impact role involves writing critical-path code and driving implementation for complex geometry-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and ship complex computer graphics systems, owning the technical roadmap and end-to-end delivery of large initiatives.
- →Act as a hands-on technical lead, contributing high-quality code to core systems.
- →Influence architectural decisions across multiple teams through direct implementation and design reviews.
- →Partner with Product, Design, and Research to transform requirements into performant, scalable solutions.
- →Ensure systems meet elite standards for reliability and performance, identifying risks early.
- →Mentor senior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of experience building and shipping complex software systems.
- ✓Proven track record of implementing computer graphics or visual computing systems at scale.
- ✓Mastery of software engineering fundamentals, including system design and performance optimization.
- ✓History of leading through direct, hands-on contribution.
- ✓Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- ✓Deep understanding of geometry, linear algebra, and related mathematical domains.
- ✓Experience with modern graphics APIs or frameworks and performance-critical infrastructure.
