About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Roblox. This role focuses on shaping the future of the Roblox Creator community through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- →Drive strategic influence by providing data-driven insights for investment decisions regarding platform genres and content
- →Shape the ecosystem by defining metrics and conducting causal studies to value and understand experiences and content
- →Accelerate creator velocity by partnering with Developer Relations teams to optimize monetization, advertising, and game strategy
- →Innovate with machine learning by developing models for early identification of promising content and creators
- →Lead through mentorship by providing technical expertise and mentorship to data scientists across the organization
Requirements
- ✓Advanced academic background with a MSc or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Applied Math, or a related quantitative field
- ✓Extensive industry experience with 10+ years of post-PhD experience in Data Science
- ✓Deep understanding of the gaming market or content strategy work
- ✓Expert-level knowledge of A/B testing, statistics, and causal inference
- ✓Proven ability to influence executive audiences and translate technical concepts into strategic narratives
- ✓Experience developing roadmaps and tooling in nascent areas
