About the Role
Roblox is seeking a Strategic Financial Analyst, Revenue to own core forecasting models and margin analytics across COGS, tax, and pricing. This role will be responsible for the integrity and evolution of our platform bookings and cost forecasting frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own the COGS forecast, budget, and platform bookings model, analyzing trends, delivering insights, and strategically partnering with key business teams
- →Drive pricing initiatives and recommendations, developing comprehensive knowledge of COGS and Tax impact to pricing
- →Lead key month-end deliverables for Accounting and Tax, including regional bookings views, tax files, and associated validation checks
- →Support business decision-making and recommendations through ad hoc analysis related to new payment providers or platforms, rate negotiations, tax or pricing decisions
- →Prepare executive- and board-ready materials that clearly articulate bookings performance, margin drivers, and forward outlook
- →Enhance forecasting accuracy and scalability through process automation and improved data modeling
- →Support monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles with a strong focus on integrity, clarity, and strategic insight
Requirements
- ✓At least 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or business operations or equivalent work experience
- ✓Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics or other quantitative fields (math, science, finance/accounting)
- ✓Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling
- ✓Strong analytical skills and ability to distill robust datasets into concise and meaningful insights and trends
- ✓Exposure to emerging, high-growth companies in the technology or internet sectors
- ✓An eye for efficiency and gravitate towards automating manual processes
- ✓Intense curiosity about understanding key drivers of a complex business with eagerness and motivation to make an impact on the business
