About the Role
Roku is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer at Test to focus on developing and executing automated testing strategies for Roku TV and related products. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality user experiences and efficient testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop new automation test scripts using Python or homegrown BDD/LLM tools
- →Convert manual test cases into reliable, repeatable automated tests
- →Troubleshoot and analyze automation test results to improve product and test quality
- →Contribute to the Continuous Integration pipeline using Jenkins
- →Conduct code reviews for improved code quality and optimization
- →Setup and maintain test automation infrastructure and tools
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities
- →Improve and maintain existing automation frameworks
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of relevant test automation development experience
- ✓Proven expertise in writing automated test scripts using Python
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field
- ✓Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills
- ✓Excellent debugging skills with Linux-based systems
- ✓Experience with smart TVs, consumer audio/video devices, or set-top boxes
- ✓Knowledge of audio/video streaming technologies and codecs
- ✓Proficiency with continuous integration tools
- ✓Experience with Git/GitLab and automated testing tools
- ✓Familiarity with AI/ML-driven testing tools
- ✓Knowledge of containerization and virtualization technologies
- ✓Experience working with cross-functional and remote teams
- ✓Self-directed professional with excellent communication skills
