About the Role

Samsara is seeking a Senior Mobile Automation Engineer to join our Quality Automation and Engineering (QAE) team. This role involves designing and building scalable test automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications, improving test coverage, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

→Design and build scalable test automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications
→Improve test coverage and maintain a high standard of test reliability
→Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines like Buildkite, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
→Collaborate with mobile engineers and product managers to improve app testability
→Monitor automation performance and coverage, contribute to quality metrics
→Communicate clearly with engineering, product, and design teams to align on quality expectations

Requirements

✓5+ years of test automation experience, with at least 3+ years focused on mobile platforms (iOS and/or Android)
✓Experience with tools like Appium, Detox, Espresso, or XCUITest
✓Proficiency in writing tests using Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, or Python
✓Understanding of mobile app architecture and debugging
✓Experience with cloud-based device labs such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab
✓Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
✓Proven success in managing automation for both mobile and web applications
✓Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
