About the Role
We are looking for a Software & ML Engineering Manager – New Products to lead a team building a new approach to how Samsara turns telematics data into action. The mission is to detect anomalies across vast fleets and surface incidents to operators with clear workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- →Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software and ML engineers
- →Turn ambiguous product bets into a clear roadmap and technical strategy
- →Build systems that analyze large-scale telematics data and detect anomalies
- →Lead delivery of end-to-end security and incident workflows
- →Guide the team in applying ML and AI techniques to create differentiated capabilities
- →Partner with Product, Design, Firmware, and Data Science to deliver cohesive experiences
- →Champion engineering excellence while maintaining high velocity
- →Keep the team close to customers through rapid prototyping and feedback loops
- →Embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally
Requirements
- ✓6+ years of formal people management experience in a product-driven engineering environment
- ✓Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
- ✓Strong technical judgment and curiosity
- ✓Clear, confident communication skills
- ✓Passion for developing engineers and building team culture
