About the Role
We are looking for a Contracts Specialist to join our Global Logistics team at SanMar. This role involves drafting and advising on strategic transportation and logistics services, managing contracts worth over $300 million in net transportation spend.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage the request for quotation process from bid invitation to contract award
- →Provide expertise in all facets of domestic and international freight movement
- →Conduct pre-bid meetings with internal departments and stakeholders
- →Create evaluation criteria for post-quote/bid process
- →Collaborate with corporate attorneys to craft final agreements
- →Maintain records of all documents both physically and digitally
- →Collaborate with Logistics teams that manage inbound and outbound transportation
- →Conduct transportation-related analysis and research
- →Manage contract performance and ensure service level agreements are met
- →Support negotiation agreements by business unit leaders
Requirements
- ✓4-6 years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience
- ✓Strong written and oral communication skills
- ✓Excellent organizational skills
- ✓Ability to work independently and contribute to cross-functional teams
- ✓Potential travel to industry conferences and logistics educational events
