Full Stack Software Engineer at Schmidt Entities

The selected candidates will work closely with senior engineering leadership and help coordinate delivery execution with distributed offshore development resources. Key Responsibilities: • Build and deliver full-stack software features across backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend applications. • Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot backend services supporting production business applications. • Build React and TypeScript user interfaces aligned to shared platform and design standards. • Design and implement relational database models, schema migrations, and API integrations. • Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture decisions, technical implementation, and delivery planning. Abilities: • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern full-stack development practices. • Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript frontend development. • Solid understanding of relational database design and PostgreSQL development. • Experience with Docker-based containerization and modern CI/CD workflows. • Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems, codebases, and architectural patterns. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in distributed engineering environments. • Experience integrating with financial systems, operational platforms, or enterprise business applications is advantageous. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience is required. • 4+ years of full-stack software engineering experience building scalable enterprise applications. • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, React, and TypeScript. • Experience designing and maintaining relational databases, including PostgreSQL schema development and integrations. • Hands-on experience with Docker, containerized applications, and CI/CD pipelines. • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn unfamiliar systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute in high-ownership environments. • Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working across distributed engineering teams. • Experience supporting enterprise business systems, financial platforms, or operational applications is a plus. This is an exempt position.
