Scopely is looking for a Lead/ Principal Product Manager to join our Star Trek Fleet Command team in Bangalore, India on a hybrid basis.
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play every day—whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers developing, publishing, and innovating in the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.
Star Trek™ Fleet Command is a top-grossing MMO 4X strategy game that has captivated players for over five years. As we continue to expand and evolve the game, we are seeking a highly driven and analytical Senior Product Manager to own the performance and strategic direction of our live content, including monthly events, offers, and player experience.
What You’ll Do
As Lead Product Manager, you’ll be the key driver for identifying, executing, and optimizing strategies that improve player engagement, retention, and monetization across our live game. You will focus on key LiveOps pillars such as events, feature performance, and live sales; ensuring that everything we launch is performant, data-informed, and player-first.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Product Ops, and Analytics teams to define, prioritize, and deliver exceptional player experiences that meet both business and player goals.
Key responsibilities include:
• This position involves taking ownership of LiveOps excellence and driving the success of our LiveOps operations through effective leadership, critical thinking and flawless execution.
• Drive the performance strategy for LiveOps systems, recurring events, and monetization features, ensuring they meet player expectations and business KPIs.
• Perform analysis and optimization of live features and events, using data to identify opportunities, perform root-cause diagnostics, and execute impactful improvements.
• Contribute to building a repeatable, scalable approach to LiveOps performance management and experimentation.
• Partner with UX, Research, and Community teams to develop empathy for player sentiment and pain points, and translate them into actionable product improvements.
• Develop clear documentation and KPIs for live operations, continuously iterating on performance with a test-and-learn mindset.
• Mentor junior PMs and contribute to a culture of product excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally with significant live operations responsibility in a F2P mobile game.
• Demonstrated success managing complex monetization and engagement systems, with strong experience in event design, sales strategy, or player lifecycle management.
• Data-native mindset, with the ability to translate raw performance metrics into strategic insights and actionable plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of aligning diverse teams around a shared product vision.
• Strong player empathy and experience working with user research, community feedback, or other voice-of-player channels.
• Experience driving impact across cross-functional pods, including creative, design, and engineering teams.
Work Schedule
This role follows a non-standard working schedule to support close collaboration with a U.S.-based team. The position requires a regular daily overlap from 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM IST to align with the Los Angeles team (this overlap is a fixed requirement). During the initial ramp-up period, new hires are also expected to be available for collaboration during daytime hours, approximately between 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM IST, with some flexibility. Candidates should be comfortable working a split schedule during the ramp-up phase, with at least two hours of guaranteed overlap with the U.S. team.
