About the Role
Strategic Data Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to implement and maintain cybersecurity protections across mission-critical networks at NIWC Pacific. This role supports cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability mitigation, and system security monitoring within secure RDT&E environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in accordance with DoD policies and standards
- →Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities and compliance requirements
- →Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
- →Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures to improve network defense and resilience
- →Support incident response activities and security breach reporting
- →Ensure protection of digital systems, infrastructure, and sensitive data
- →Assist with security documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking
Requirements
- ✓Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant – IAT/IAM/IASAE Level I)
- ✓1 year of experience
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mathematics with computer science concentration, or related field preferred
- ✓Active Secret Security Clearance
