<p><strong>Join Our Mission Against Financial Crime</strong></p>
<p>Would you like to work with a team of highly skilled Software Engineers to build solutions that empower complex investigations? Weβre looking for an experienced <strong>Java Developer</strong> with strong <strong>Data Engineering</strong> skills to join our Financial Crime Prevention teamβwhere backend engineering, data, and purpose align to detect and prevent bad actors.</p>

<p><strong>About the role </strong></p>
<p>As a Java Developer (Data Engineering) in the Financial Crime Prevention team, you will build and maintain Java-based services and data processing capabilities that enable us to detect suspicious behavior and support investigations. You will work end-to-endβfrom design and implementation to testing, deployment, and operationsβin close collaboration with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment.</p>

<p><strong>To thrive in this role, we believe you have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Solid experience with Java (e.g., Java 11+) and building backend services (Spring/Spring Boot or similar)</li>
<li>Experience building data pipelines (streaming and/or batch) and working with large-scale datasets</li>
<li>Hands-on with streaming/messaging (e.g., PubSub) and event-driven architectures</li>
<li>Experience with batch processing frameworks (e.g., Beam) and data modelling</li>
<li>Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability for production systems</li>
<li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and working in cloud environments</li>
<li>Nice to have: schema registry experience and/or graph databases</li>
<li>Analytical mindset and ability to solve complex technical problems</li>
<li>Curiosity and a drive for continuous learning and professional growth</li>
<li>A collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and learning from others</li>
