We are seeking an Engineering Manager to be a "force multiplier" for our engineering function. You will be instrumental in setting technical strategy, mentoring a talented team, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our core systems. In this role, you will leverage our modern stack—including Go, Java, Node.js, TypeScript, and React—to build the foundation for our future in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Technical & Architectural Strategy • System Integrity: Drive the technical strategy for our core services, ensuring systems built with Go, Java, Node.js, and TypeScript are scalable, reliable, and secure. • Architectural Guidance: Confidently guide architectural decisions and champion well-designed, maintainable solutions that minimize technical debt. Execution & Delivery • End-to-End Ownership: Take ownership of the delivery for critical domains, directly impacting user acquisition, retention, and overall product quality. • Product Partnership: Partner with product and design leaders to shape the roadmap for critical user-facing features and integrations. • Team Rituals: Empower your team by running effective rituals, removing blockers, and ensuring alignment with company goals through a high degree of autonomy. Who You Are • Seasoned Leader: You have 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of managing and growing engineering teams. • Technical Foundation: You possess a strong technical foundation in modern web and backend development. While you may no longer be the primary individual contributor, you can go deep into the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem and provide meaningful input on Go or Java services. • Empathetic Mentor: You measure success by your team's impact and growth.
