About the Role

You will be an early member of Semgrep’s data team, defining how the company uses data to improve users’ security. This growth role starts as an individual contributor, evolving into greater responsibility and influence on data and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

→Contribute to data science projects, identifying critical areas to focus on
→Apply various data-science approaches to solve problems
→Build dashboards, apply regression techniques, and use active-learning methods
→Present conclusions with clear data visualizations and explanations
→Help recruit and hire top data talent

Requirements

✓2+ years of experience in data and strategy fields
✓Knowledge of data-science approaches including machine-learning algorithms, optimization methods, and statistical methods
✓Experience visualizing information across the company stack
✓Familiarity with production data-processing pipelines and tools like S3, FiveTran, DBT, Snowflake, Metabase, Retool, Sagemaker/JupyterNotebook
✓Aptitude for rapid iterative development
✓Experience working on a small team in a fast-paced environment
✓Excellent communication skills
