About the Role
The Public Awareness Operations Manager will lead and optimize all aspects of H2Safetyβs field operations, ensuring operational excellence through strategic planning, staff leadership, and safety compliance. This role is based in Calgary and plays a pivotal part in delivering best-in-class public consultation, stakeholder engagement, and emergency preparedness services.
Key Responsibilities
- βLead and participate in the execution of road-based outreach and public awareness campaigns
- βMaintain and manage a rolling 12-month operational schedule aligned with project needs
- βSupervise field teams across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client engagement standards
- βConduct regular meetings with staff to align expectations and resolve field challenges
- βDesign, optimize, and communicate efficient field routes using mapping tools and operational data
- βCoordinate travel, accommodations, vehicles, and equipment for all field deployments
- βEnsure full implementation of H2Safetyβs field safety protocols
- βServe as the operational lead for representing client standards in the field
- βTrack and analyze key operational data to drive enhancements in efficiency
- βEnsure standard operating procedures are developed and followed for all field activities
Requirements
- βExperience in operational leadership and field management
- βStrong understanding of safety protocols and compliance
- βExcellent coordination and scheduling skills
- βAbility to manage and advance the performance of field teams
- βExperience with mapping tools and operational data
- βKnowledge of public awareness and consultation programs
- βAbility to handle in-field escalation of issues and resident concerns
- βExperience with GPS, radios, and offline data collection systems
- βStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
