About the Role

SGS, in partnership with H2Safety, is seeking a Training Specialist (Emergency Response) to join their team in Calgary. This role involves developing and delivering comprehensive emergency response training programs tailored to various client needs and industries.

Key Responsibilities

→Design and develop comprehensive emergency response training programs tailored to various client needs and industries.
→Create training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises, ensuring they are up to date with current best practices and regulatory requirements.
→Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for clients, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
→Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions, adapting content and delivery methods to suit different learning environments.
→Plan and conduct emergency response drills and simulations to test and reinforce client preparedness.
→Evaluate the outcomes of drills and provide detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
→Travel to remote locations as required for in-person training sessions.
→Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics.
→Continuously improve training programs based on client feedback, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
→Ensure all training programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
→Assist clients in achieving and maintaining necessary certifications and compliance related to emergency response.
→Maintain detailed records of training activities, participant progress, and program outcomes.
→Prepare and present reports on training effectiveness and areas for improvement to clients and company management.
→Collaborate with other H2Safety operational managers to align training with customer requirements and communication strategies.
→Support marketing efforts by showcasing the company’s training capabilities and successes.
→Assist in the development of proposals and presentations for potential clients to secure new business.
→Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in emergency response and training methodologies.
→Participate in professional development opportunities and industry conferences to enhance expertise.
