About the Role
The Special Projects team at Shield AI is an elite force within the office of the CTO, responsible for steering technology development towards strategic alignment with the CTO’s vision. This role will contribute to commercial applications of Hivemind Enterprise, Shield AI’s software ecosystem for developing and deploying resilient intelligent teaming for aircrafts.
Key Responsibilities
- →Create reference implementations for potential future products by integrating new hardware platforms, sensor suits, simulators and concepts of operation with the Hivemind SDK
- →Demonstrate developed architectures as solutions to customers and gather feedback for rapid iteration
- →Explore and evaluate future hardware and software technologies relevant to Shield AI’s product roadmap
- →Identify areas of technical debt across the stack and synthesize solutions
Requirements
- ✓12+ years of experience developing large, production quality software systems
- ✓10+ years of experience with modern C++ (C++17 and beyond)
- ✓Strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and tools like Git
- ✓Excellent grasp of software development principles with high productivity
- ✓Deep self-sufficiency in adopting new technologies and maintaining a fast development pace
- ✓Expertise with architectural design of large distributed systems
- ✓Experience with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD environments
- ✓Strong technical collaboration skills
