About the Role
Shield AI is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the seamless integration of complex systems into vehicle confined spaces. This high-ownership role involves leading systems layout configuration and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize size, weight, and cost while designing at the edge of innovation and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead vehicle systems layout configuration
- →Create and manage the product structure
- →Drive iterative design discussions with key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive final product
- →Manage physical and electrical interfaces across stakeholder teams
- →Develop critical tools within NX functions such as mass rollups and EBOM exports
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- ✓Knowledge of aircraft systems including avionics, flight controls, hydraulics, electrical power distribution, environmental control systems, and propulsion
- ✓Strong CAD skills with NX preferred and integration experience
- ✓Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Experience with UAVs, aircraft, or robotic systems
- ✓Proven experience leading technical integration efforts and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- ✓Materials selection knowledge including alloys, heat treatments, allowables, and finishes
- ✓Hands-on machine shop or mechanic experience professional or hobby
- ✓Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
