About the Role
Significance Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team in San Diego, CA. This entry-to-intermediate level position provides data analytics support to NIWC Pacific Codes 10000 (Finance) and 80000 (Corporate Operations).
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide data analytics support for financial management, business analytics, asset management, and strategic operations
- →Transform data from systems such as Navy ERP, Advana, Jupiter, Business Application Suite, DTS, and other NIWC applications into dashboards, reports, and analytical products
- →Support development of visualizations, trend analysis, forecasting models, and automation efforts
- →Document methodologies and maintain data integrity standards
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, or related quantitative field
- ✓1–3 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence environments
- ✓Experience collecting, cleansing, organizing, and analyzing structured and unstructured data
- ✓Working knowledge of Python or R, SQL, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data modeling)
- ✓Experience building dashboards or visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
- ✓Ability to interpret financial or operational data and translate findings into clear visual products
- ✓Experience documenting analytical methodologies and maintaining reproducible workflows
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting analysis to non-technical stakeholders
- ✓Ability to work in a DoD or regulated data environment with attention to data integrity and auditability
- ✓Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
