About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist - Tech Lead to join our team at SIXT. This role involves taking ownership of end-to-end delivery for complex, data-driven projects that combine multiple machine learning models and software components.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead end-to-end delivery of data science projects, ensuring timely execution, technical quality, and alignment with business goals.
- →Translate complex business challenges into scalable ML solutions, balancing experimentation with long-term maintainability.
- →Own the technical architecture, designing robust, integrated systems in collaboration with platform and product teams.
- →Mentor and grow your team, fostering a collaborative, learning-driven culture and supporting career development.
- →Champion engineering excellence, driving best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and observability across ML pipelines.
- →Influence product strategy through clear communication of technical trade-offs, risks, and data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, with a strong track record of delivering production-grade ML solutions.
- ✓1+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, guiding teams through end-to-end ML project lifecycles.
- ✓Strong proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- ✓Experience designing and evaluating ML models using diverse metrics and validation strategies.
- ✓Strong understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and productionization of ML systems.
- ✓Experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern MLOps practices.
