About the Role
We are seeking a Director, Product Management for Wireless Technologies & Radios to lead Skydio’s wireless capabilities roadmap. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to define technology and radio products, and collaborating with customers to build industry-leading workflows for remote operations across Public Safety, Utilities, and Federal markets.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own Skydio’s roadmap for wireless capabilities, including cellular, Enterprise wireless technologies, and Federal multi-band radio protocols.
- →Define and launch standalone productized radio units and components built into controllers and drones.
- →Engage with customers and stakeholders to develop visions and strategies for solving core business problems.
- →Work cross-functionally with hardware and wireless teams to define new products, prioritize features, and maintain a clear wireless product roadmap.
- →Build end-to-end wireless workflows with designers and product leaders for both technical and non-technical customers.
- →Provide executive-level recommendations as the wireless subject matter expert for Product Management.
- →Capture and document feedback from customers and internal testers to improve products and features.
- →Develop launch plans, product positioning, and messaging with Product Marketing.
- →Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to build customer relationships and ensure proper training and support.
Requirements
- ✓10+ years of proven success in defining and delivering complex products spanning hardware and software.
- ✓Deep technical understanding of wireless protocols including 802.x, multi-band, and cellular.
- ✓Proven ability to leverage technical depth and business acumen for strategic tradeoffs and executive-level recommendations.
- ✓Experience defining and launching innovative end-to-end product workflows spanning hardware, software, and cloud.
- ✓Highly facilitative team player with a passion for enabling others.
- ✓A passion for speaking with and learning from customers.
- ✓An advanced degree (e.g., MBA), or equivalent experience.
