About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer to join our team at Smarsh. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for the technical aspects of our enterprise B2B sales cycle, working closely with sales, product, and service teams to support account executives across multiple product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- →Assist sales with the discovery process to identify quantifiable problems our solutions can solve
- →Demonstrate, workshop, and explain how our products/platform can help prospects/customers achieve their desired business outcomes
- →Provide deep technical expertise in the sales process, identifying and influencing requirements early
- →Conduct technical presentations with a deep understanding of Smarsh’s products and third-party integrations
- →Influence and capture technical requirements, own the architecture blueprint, and re-validate with prospects
- →Provide technical leadership during complex, enterprise-level Proofs of Concept engagements
- →Take the lead on technical responses for RFI/RFP/RFQ processes
- →Prepare internal solution design proposals for complex deployments
- →Keep informed on industry trends, products, services, competitors, and emerging technologies
- →Regularly update systems of record with presales notes and collateral
- →Contribute best practices and content to broader presales and sales teams
- →Travel as needed for internal/external meetings (approximately 30-40%)
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or equivalent experience
- ✓Experience in enterprise architecture, IT consulting, sales engineering, or software engineering in an enterprise environment
- ✓Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic; self-starter with a passion for delivering technical benefits to sales prospects
- ✓Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or Data Visualization
- ✓Strong personal skills to build solid relationships with prospect’s senior business and technical teams
- ✓Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
- ✓Superb verbal and written communication skills
- ✓Adaptability in overcoming prospect concerns and ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
- ✓Organization, prioritization, and planning skills to deliver multiple projects concurrently
- ✓Subject matter expertise in Surveillance/Supervision, eDiscovery, Archiving, and/or unstructured data platforms is a plus
- ✓Industry knowledge in Financial Services and other highly regulated industries
- ✓Experience with Solution Selling, Demo2Win, and MEDDIC/MEDDPICC
