About the Role
As a Contract Product Owner, you will play a critical role in delivering a strategic migration programme focused on moving inventory and booking journeys onto a global ecommerce platform, enabling platform consolidation, unlocking indirect channel value, and supporting scalable growth across markets.
You will be embedded within the Acquisitions / Investment Squad, responsible for delivering βno-regretsβ and priority feature work required to enable migration, reduce commercial and operational risk, and support a phased cutover onto the target platform.
This includes closing functional gaps, supporting inventory and API migration, and ensuring that commercial performance is maintained throughout the transition.
You will act as the day-to-day product lead, accountable for shaping, prioritising, and delivering the migration backlog end-to-end. You will work closely with engineering, delivery, data, finance, and commercial stakeholders to ensure features are clearly defined, commercially justified, and delivered against agreed outcomes.
Responsibilities
β’ Own and manage the migration backlog, ensuring alignment with migration readiness, commercial priorities, and risk reduction
β’ Translate gap analysis outputs into clearly defined epics, features, and user stories with agreed acceptance criteria
β’ Prioritise βmust-haveβ and βno-regretsβ features required to successfully migrate inventory and booking journeys onto the target platform
β’ Ensure all features are commercially justified, balancing value, cost, and delivery effort
β’ Work closely with engineering teams to shape solutions that balance speed, quality, and long-term platform integrity
β’ Support and drive inventory and API migration efforts, ensuring seamless integration into the platform
β’ Partner with commercial, finance, and operations stakeholders to understand and manage impacts on:
β’ Revenue
β’ Cost of sale
β’ Settlement
β’ Reporting
β’ Customer service
β’ Support planning and execution of phased migration and cutover strategies, including:
β’ Feature sequencing
β’ Dependency management
β’ Parallel-run approaches to reduce commercial risk
β’ Provide clear visibility of progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to Product, Technology, and Delivery leadership
β’ Ensure delivered features meet agreed outcomes, including:
β’ Maintaining or improving conversion rates
β’ Maintaining or improving average transaction value (ATV)
β’ Maintaining or improving operational efficiency post-migration
β’ Act as the day-to-day product lead, ensuring alignment across engineering, delivery, and business stakeholders
Requirements
β’ Proven experience as a Product Owner delivering complex digital products
β’ Strong experience within ecommerce, marketplaces, or booking platforms
β’ Demonstrable experience delivering platform migrations, re-platforming initiatives, or large-scale technical change programmes
β’ Strong ability to translate high-level business goals and gap analysis into structured, actionable delivery backlogs
β’ Experience working with engineering-led teams, APIs, integrations, and data-driven platforms
β’ Excellent stakeholder management skills, working across Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams
β’ Strong ability to prioritise effectively and make trade-offs under delivery pressure
β’ Experience ensuring features are aligned to commercial outcomes and business impact
β’ Pragmatic, outcomes-focused mindset

β’ Familiarity with indirect channels, partner inventory models, or commission-based marketplaces
β’ Experience supporting phased migration or parallel-run approaches to reduce commercial risk
β’ Previous contract experience within fast-paced product or transformation environments
