About the Role

We are seeking a Data, AI and Automation Manager to lead the development and implementation of data, AI, and automation processes within Smiths Group. This role will support senior management in achieving strategic goals and oversee the adoption of centralized standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

→Establish, manage, and evolve the company's Data, AI and Automation processes
→Oversee the development and use of data, AI and Automation systems
→Drive the adoption of a centralized standard of these solutions across Smiths Group
→Solutioning innovative ways to organize, AI and Automation processes
→Provide leadership on the implementation of security & authorisations best practice
→Work proactively with internal and key business partners
→Help to solution, implement and maintain operating models
→Manage and distribute workloads to the D&A team members
→Take leading role in the growth of Team and support the development of D&A and Divisional team members

Requirements

✓Develop Data, AI and automation solutions
✓Test, deploy, and maintain intelligent systems
✓Collaborate with data scientists and other engineers
✓Stay current with AI trends and suggest improvements
✓Create a Roadmap that delivers the vision and embeds capabilities
✓Developing and managing data platform; data management; and tooling and access controls
✓Provide business focused data-related guidance and thought leadership
✓Ensure all D&A deliveries are performance assessed
✓Lead on the development and maintenance of dashboards, forms, and other tools
✓Implement and regularly review existing data management policies
✓Collaborate across the Smiths divisions to discuss any data problems
✓Support the creation of Data Analytic Models and Data Visualisations
✓Own and govern the code promotion process for Analytic Models and Visualisation code sets
✓Organise, store and analyse data as efficiently as possible
✓Manage PowerBI Licences, Gateways and Microsoft visual studio
✓Develop documentation and training material for applications
✓Evaluate, design, implement and support new requirements or database changes
✓Design and develop new analytics / models using the new data sets
✓Provide technical oversight for integrating new technology or new initiatives
✓Monitor and analyse information and data systems
✓Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of all developed solutions
✓Establish rules and procedures for data sharing
✓Create and enforce policies for effective data management
✓Support others in the daily use of data systems
✓Provide regular progress reports to your manager
✓Regularly provide accurate availability/capacity reports
✓Act as a mentor to new super users within the Divisions
✓Lead the weekly team meeting, owning the agenda and encouraging engagement
