About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure consistent application of tests and inspections between suppliers and the plant. This role involves reviewing and analyzing inspection results, supervising the disposition of non-conforming items with suppliers, and coordinating with various departments to determine the disposition of discrepant materials.
Key Responsibilities
- →Ensure consistent application of tests and inspections between suppliers and the plant
- →Review and analyze results of inspection tests and supervise the disposition of non-conforming items with suppliers
- →Coordinate with Material Review Board (MRB), Quality, Design, and Engineering to determine the disposition of discrepant materials
- →Issue corrective action requests to suppliers
- →Participate in the development and implementation of inspection, test, and evaluation techniques for incoming materials
- →Evaluate these techniques and recommend improvements
- →Verify that adequate and qualified suppliers are available when introducing new products or processes
- →Supervise and participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality system studies to characterize and evaluate suppliers
- →Conduct audits at supplier facilities to support the raw material acquisition process
- →Maintain constant communication with suppliers to inform them about quality and performance issues
- →Prepare and distribute periodic reports on supplier quality performance
- →Participate in negotiations to establish fair and effective solutions for identified problems
- →Apply statistical techniques to analyze supplier performance, both internally and at their facilities
- →Participate in supplier development through training, advice, and recommendations to improve their performance
- →Develop, implement, and supervise special programs to recognize and ensure the use of suppliers that meet established quality standards
- →Report internally on significant changes in performance indicators for timely corrective actions
Requirements
