About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Member Growth engineering team at SoFi, where we are designing for the future of personal finance. This role focuses on tackling complex, data-intensive problems at scale and designing reliable data pipelines and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, test, deploy and debug robust data solutions that can scale horizontally and vertically.
- →Build and optimize operational experience for systems and processes to run efficiently.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions to meet business needs.
- →Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- →Enforce data governance policies and practices to maintain data integrity, quality, security, and compliance.
- →Participate in code reviews and design reviews, applying team standards and improving code quality.
- →Support production operations, including participating in on-call rotations and incident response.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- ✓2+ years of professional software engineering or data engineering experience working on production systems.
- ✓Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- ✓Proficiency in Snowflake, GitLab, AWS, Airflow, DBT, etc.
- ✓Thorough knowledge of data modeling, database design, data architecture principles, and data operations.
- ✓Clear communication skills and comfort collaborating within a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
- ✓Good understanding of AI and its usage.
