About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at SoFi, a next-generation financial services company and national bank. This role involves leading the development of key advancements to our financial services platform.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the technical evolution of one or more key platform subsystems
- →Resolve problems in platform design and implementation that weren't clearly anticipated
- →Leverage existing solution patterns and understand when to differentiate
- →Understand data models, APIs, scaling concerns, and failure modes
- →Write meaningful tests and debug complex issues across multiple system layers
- →Create clear design and operational documentation
- →Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- ✓3+ years of professional, full-time Software Engineer experience
- ✓Proficient coding in Java, Kotlin, or similar object-oriented programming language
- ✓Proficient working with GIT and related CI/CD systems
- ✓Experience with public cloud compute, storage, and infrastructure
- ✓Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Spring Boot or similar frameworks
- ✓Deep understanding of relational and document database fundamentals
- ✓Deep understanding of fundamental distributed systems concepts
