About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Member Growth engineering team at SoFi, where we are designing for the future of personal finance. This role involves helping members find their path to financial independence by providing tools, resources, and guidance. You will operate as a technical leader and team player, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the architecture and implementation of large, cross-cutting initiatives independently and with strong ownership.
- →Participate in shaping the long-term technical architecture of products that drive member growth and marketing efficiency.
- →Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
- →Produce well-designed, scalable, and reusable code. Participate in and lead code and design reviews.
- →Drive high-complexity projects in a fast-paced environment.
- →Mentor and inspire other engineers and help grow the team.
- →Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- →Communicate with project leads, product managers, and other software developers.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a technical field, or relevant work experience.
- ✓6+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, production-grade applications.
- ✓Full stack experience including React/Typescript and Kotlin/Java.
- ✓Experience with Kubernetes in a service-oriented architecture.
- ✓Strong understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL and ORMs.
- ✓Experience working on a SOA or microservice-based application using REST.
- ✓Strong sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion.
- ✓Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews, and managing pull requests.
