About the Role
We are looking for a Front End Software Engineer to join Sonar and play a crucial role in enhancing SonarQube Cloud and SonarQube Server. This position involves collaborating with product teams to deliver exceptional user experiences for developers worldwide while maintaining high code quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collaborate with Product Managers and UX designers to specify and design new features
- →Participate in sprints to deliver new features with focus on end user experience
- →Maintain and enhance existing features incorporating feedback from colleagues and community
- →Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- →Conduct thorough code reviews and provide meaningful feedback to peers
- →Contribute to team growth by improving tools and processes and mentoring other engineers
- →Engage with community on product forums to offer support and gather insights
- →Help solve production problems related to team's features
- →Join on-call rotation to address critical system issues promptly
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience as a Front End Software Engineer
- ✓1+ year of experience as a Staff Engineer or equivalent level
- ✓Excellent engineering skills and good understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
- ✓Demonstrated expertise in TypeScript including understanding of ecosystem and tooling
- ✓Proficiency with React or other modern front-end frameworks
- ✓Leadership ability to take initiative and bring subjects to completion with minimal supervision
- ✓Commitment to high-quality code through comprehensive testing
- ✓Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas clearly
- ✓Team player willing to help and support others
- ✓Independent, proactive, and eager to learn
- ✓Willingness to step outside comfort zone and contribute to other technical areas
