About the Role
SpaceX is seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to drive the build, deployment, and operation of classified IT networks supporting critical national security missions. This role will own network design and implement continual improvements to enhance capabilities and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of classified networks
- →Lead network integration and troubleshooting efforts
- →Improve network performance and reliability through capacity planning and failure remediation
- →Support capacity augmentation and network optimization deployments
- →Assist with system configuration updates and firmware management
- →Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks
- →Support network access control (NAC) using 802.1X
- →Build automation for network devices and deployment tools
- →Develop and enforce network policies and standards
- →Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or STEM discipline with 3+ years of network engineering experience; or 5+ years of experience without a degree
- ✓1+ year of experience deploying enterprise network solutions or cloud networks
- ✓Layer-1 experience with transport, DWDM, optical fiber, and circuit troubleshooting
- ✓Active Top Secret or TS/SCI with Polygraph
- ✓Willingness to travel domestically and globally (<10%)
- ✓Ability to work extended hours and weekends
- ✓On-call availability
