About the Role
SpaceX is looking for an experienced Network Automation Engineer to help build tools for their large and growing network infrastructure. This role is part of the IT Network Engineering team responsible for maintaining a stable network that supports rocket design, manufacturing, launching, and human space flight.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build network automation tools for switch configurations, config backups, software updates, logging, monitoring, and alerting
- →Create Python scripts to automate manual network processes
- →Measure, maintain, and improve corporate network uptime and performance
- →Act as technical product owner for infrastructure tools and software
- →Innovate ways to scale with automation and operational improvements
- →Collaborate with network engineers to create highly operable infrastructure
- →Provide mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline and 5+ years of network automation, DevOps, or network engineering experience OR 8+ years of network automation experience
- ✓Experience with Linux operating system
- ✓Automation skills in Python, Go, shell, bash, or other languages
