About the Role
We are looking for an analytical and motivated Analyst to join Spotify's Licensing Finance team within FP&A. This role will help shape and evaluate the financial impact of major label licensing agreements while supporting royalties forecasting and performance analysis that influence the long-term economics of our music business.
Key Responsibilities
- →Evaluate and model global major label licensing agreements, partnering with Licensing, Accounting, and Legal teams.
- →Build and own robust financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analyses, to assess deal economics and margin impact.
- →Translate complex contract structures into clear financial implications for Finance and Business leadership.
- →Support music royalties forecasting processes, incorporating deal-specific terms.
- →Analyze monthly and quarterly royalty and margin performance, identifying key variances and drivers.
- →Partner with Data and Engineering teams to improve forecasting accuracy.
- →Develop and track KPIs that monitor deal performance and cost structure impacts.
- →Contribute to process improvements and analytical tooling.
Requirements
- ✓2+ years of professional experience in highly analytical environments like consulting, investment banking, or strategic finance.
- ✓Advanced SQL skills and experience with large, complex datasets.
- ✓Strong financial modeling capabilities with scenario analysis understanding.
- ✓Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance analytical productivity.
- ✓Exceptional attention to detail and strong judgment around prioritization.
- ✓Clear communicator able to translate complex analysis into actionable insights.
- ✓Intellectual curiosity and desire to build expertise in music business and licensing economics.
