About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level engineer to join our Financial Engineering platform team at Spotify. This role involves building and operating systems that transform royalties into official financial records and ensure financial data flows reliably across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and maintain backend services and data pipelines that support financial booking and reporting
- →Work on systems that move and transform financial data across internal platforms and enterprise finance tools
- →Contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of reliable, production-grade systems
- →Partner with engineers, product managers, and finance stakeholders to deliver accurate and auditable outcomes
- →Participate in operational ownership, including monitoring, debugging, and improving system reliability
- →Learn the financial and accounting domain and apply that knowledge to improve platform quality
Requirements
- ✓Strong programming background, preferably in Java or Scala
- ✓Experience working on backend systems and production services or data pipelines
- ✓Understanding of reliability and correctness in systems
- ✓Comfortable working with structured data and data models
- ✓Interest in learning finance and accounting concepts
- ✓Clear communication and collaboration skills
- ✓Team player who takes ownership and enjoys working on shared systems
