About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the PDX Insights team at Spotify, supporting Platform Developer Experience. This role involves partnering with Product Managers to influence roadmaps using product insights and analyzing product usage to improve the developer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- βPartner closely with Product Managers to influence roadmaps using product insights
- βBe opinionated about what signals matter most at different stages of the product lifecycle
- βDefine and evolve core product metrics related to adoption, engagement, and long-term value
- βAnalyze product usage to identify opportunities to improve the developer experience
- βFrame success criteria and trade-offs to support product prioritization
- βDesign analyses and experiments to inform product investments
- βCommunicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders across Platform
- βContribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and thoughtful use of data
Requirements
- βExperience influencing product direction with data in complex or evolving product spaces
- βPragmatic and opinionated about measurement based on product strategy
- βSolid analytical foundations (SQL, experimentation, statistical reasoning)
- βAbility to communicate clearly and enjoy close collaboration with Product, User Research, Design and Engineering
- βEnjoy roles where judgment, context, and collaboration matter as much as technical depth
- βMotivated by impact and enabling teams to make better decisions
