About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team at Statista, the world's leading business data platform. This role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support our content management and production.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work collaboratively with data sourcing and architecture teams to build a state-of-the-art data publishing infrastructure
- →Build and maintain data pipelines that scale Statista’s content management and production
- →Develop reliable data orchestration workflow to ensure automated publishing processes
- →Analyze established processes to identify opportunities for optimization and automation
- →Monitor and optimize data infrastructure for high availability, performance, and security
- →Stay up-to-date with developments in AI & Automation to ensure upgrades of services and tools
Requirements
- ✓Comfortable in developing ETL processes and data automation processes using Python
- ✓Proficiency in workflow orchestration, containerization and version control tools (e.g. Apache Airflow, Docker or git)
- ✓Good command of SQL for data manipulation and querying
- ✓Good understanding of data modelling and architecture, with a strong interest in best practices
- ✓Experience in cloud services and infrastructure (e.g. AWS: ECS, EC2 & RDS); Infrastructure-as-Code is a plus
- ✓Excellent spoken and written English skills
