Salary Range
$130,000 - $145,000 /year
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee on-site infrastructure upgrades at VA Medical Centers
- →Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and VA staff
- →Manage project schedules and ensure code compliance
- →Maintain quality and safety standards throughout project lifecycle
- →Support healthcare-related renovations and new construction
- →Bridge technical disciplines and federal project requirements
- →Direct facility construction activities and lead progress meetings
- →Develop project schedules in MS Project and/or Primavera
- →Track project costs and develop government project cost estimates
- →Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop project requirements
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering)
- ✓Minimum 6 years of experience in fire protection engineering, life safety systems design, or code compliance
- ✓Proven experience managing complex new construction or major renovation projects
- ✓Experience interfacing with GSA Public Building Services, A&E firms, and construction contractors
- ✓Expert knowledge of construction methodology
- ✓Ability to work independently or in groups in stressful environments
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Experience coordinating project management teams and providing leadership
- ✓Positive interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation
