Striim, (pronounced βstreamβ with two iβs for integration and intelligence), is a unified data integration and streaming platform that connects clouds, data, and applications with unprecedented speed and simplicity to deliver the right data at the right time. Striim is used by enterprise companies to monitor events across any environment, build applications that drive digital transformation, and leverage true real-time analytics to provide a superior experience to their customers. At our company, we believe and expect all of our employees to operate as one with unlimited potential and dignity.
The Mission
At Striim, we don't just move data; we move it as soon as it is born. Our platform handles GBs and TBs of data daily with sub-second latency. When an enterprise customer faces a technical bottleneck that prevents a "Go-Live," we don't just file a ticketβwe deploy Ghost Ops.
We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join this elite, high-visibility strike force. Your mission is simple: Identify the blocker, neutralize it, and ensure the data flows. You aren't building generic product features; you are performing surgical interventions on the front lines of real-time data integration.
The Role: "The Ghost Engineer"
As a member of Ghost Ops, you sit at the intersection of Core Engineering and High-Stakes Delivery. You are the technical "closer."
β’
Surgical Interventions: Dive deep into the existing mid-tier codebase to diagnose and repair bottlenecks or bugs stalling critical customer deployments.
β’
Extensibility via "Open Processor": Partner with Field Engineers to write custom, high-performance code within Striimβs Open Processor framework, enabling bespoke data handling that transcends standard UI configurations.
β’
Rapid Deployment: Thrive in "war room" environments, refactoring mid-tier logic or API interfaces on the fly to integrate seamlessly with unique enterprise ecosystems.
β’
Technical "Bedside Manners": Maintain a calm, authoritative presence under pressure. You can explain a complex technical resolution to a customer stakeholder while simultaneously implementing the fix.
β’
No Feature Bloat: Your focus is on surgical precisionβremoving friction and hardening the platform, not adding to the general product roadmap.
Core Requirements
β’
Data Movement Pedigree: Prior experience at a company building data movement, replication, or streaming platforms (CDI/ETL/ELT). You understand the stakes of Change Data Capture (CDC).
β’
Full-Stack Mastery: You can navigate the entire stackβfrom React UI glitches to Java/backend API bottlenecks, down to complex SQL execution plans.
β’
The "Open Processor" Mindset: Expert at writing custom logic to extend platform capabilities for specific, high-scale use cases.
β’
Sub-Second Mentality: Deep understanding of high-concurrency, low-latency systems. You know how to move massive data volumes without breaking the latency budget.
β’
Direct Action Bias: You prioritize a working fix today over a theoretical discussion tomorrow.
Preferred Qualifications (The "Oracle Specialist")
While not a primary requirement, we have a high interest in candidates with deep knowledge of the Oracle ecosystem, specifically:
β’
Complex Architectures: Familiarity with CDBs (Container Databases), PDBs (Pluggable Databases), and Oracle DataGuard.
β’
Offloading Strategies: Experience using downstream Oracle instances to offload replication processing from primary databases.
β’
SQL Optimization: Advanced ability to interface with Oracle APIs and navigate highly complex, enterprise-grade setups.
Why Ghost Ops?
This is not a "back-office" engineering role. You are the elite force solving the hardest problems for the biggest companies in the world. When a multi-million dollar deal goes live, it will be because of your surgical precision. You make the friction disappear. You are Ghost Ops.
Benefits
β’ Role requires the candidate to be onsite at the Palo Alto HQ on a hybrid model (3X times a week)
β’ Competitive salary and pre-IPO stock options
β’ Comprehensive health care plans (medical, dental and vision), including medical and dependent FSA
β’ Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
β’ The chance to contribute to and shape an upbeat, fully engaged culture
Compensation
$165,000 - 175,000 USD on an annualized basis
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and accepted until the position is filled.
