About the Role
The Data Foundations team at Stripe is seeking talented data-minded software engineers to help manage business-critical data across the organization. This role involves designing data pipelines and data-driven user experiences with a significant impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign, develop, and own data pipelines, models, and products that power Product, Data Science, and GTM functions
- βDevelop subject matter expertise and manage SLAs for data pipelines and full stack web applications
- βBuild and refine Stripe's data foundations using Scala, Spark, and Airflow
- βLeverage LLM and Agents at scale to produce high-quality data
- βRefine existing data marts to help the GTM organization forecast future performance
- βBuild data services that track key product metrics and measure the impact of different strategies
Requirements
- β6+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on data services
- βStrong engineering background with an interest in data
- βExperience with writing and debugging data pipelines using distributed data frameworks
- βAbility to dive into data inconsistencies to resolve deep-rooted data quality issues
- βKnowledge of backend development languages (Scala, Java, or Go) and strong SQL experience
- βAbility to communicate cross-functionally, derive requirements, and architect shared datasets
