About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Credit Operations Analyst to join Stripe's Risk Operations team. This role involves leading complex operational processes and developing solutions to reduce credit risk at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with merchants from startups to established institutions, handling complex and high-value accounts
- →Lead in-depth credit reviews on high-risk and strategic merchants throughout their lifecycle
- →Investigate and resolve complex escalations across multiple channels
- →Own critical operational processes such as credit reviews and risk-related escalations
- →Identify risk factors and trends, reporting them to the wider risk team with strategic recommendations
- →Lead the use of analytics to optimize strategies across the portfolio
- →Maintain regular communication with cross-functional stakeholders
- →Identify gaps in systems and drive enhancements and process improvements
- →Lead team work streams related to credit decisioning and accuracy
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of relevant experience with a deep understanding of commercial credit principles
- ✓3+ years of experience leading risk-related projects with cross-functional stakeholders
- ✓Proven track record of using data to propose solutions to tactical and strategic problems
- ✓Creativity, team-focused mentality, and effective problem-solving skills
- ✓Ability to question the status quo and drive meaningful change
- ✓Ability to approach challenges from a user perspective while being pragmatic
- ✓Deep empathy for entrepreneurs and motivation to solve their problems
- ✓Strong business judgment and ability to navigate complexity independently
- ✓Strong proficiency using SQL to analyze data, drive insights, and create dashboards
